New Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Details Emerge

ES V: Skyrim is the direct sequel to Bethesda's award winning RPG, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Along with a brand new, in-house built, graphics engine and AI system, Skyrim will have new magic, combat, and perks.

The new magic will be called Dragon Shouts - these spells will be in addition to the normal spells. In Skyrim, when you kill a dragon you get its soul, which allows you to read special ruins scattered across the lands. When you decipher the ruins you'll gain a Dragon Shout spell.

There will also be Enchantments in the game that will allow you to empower your weapon with a spell to make it more powerful.

Perks will be used similarly to how they are used in Fallout 3 (i.e. damage specializations, dialogue options, etc).

A new story telling feature called Radiant Story will also be used to "organically" change objectives without the player knowing, based on the player's actions.

Skyrim is scheduled to be released 11/11/11.
