Microsoft first announced providing an IPTV service through the Xbox 360 console a couple of years ago but for one reason or another that promise never materialized. According to WinRumors, "Microsoft is currently in last minute negotiations to secure the necessary agreements in time."
Netflix and torrents are my main source of TV entertainment, but I would definitely be interested in an internet-based alternative to cable. I'm sure there will be an additional monthly fee, but it has to be cheaper than Comcast/Time Warner. Again, this is just a rumor. We'll find out next week!
