EPIC Games has been round for 20 years, and for good reason - great games and support for the gaming community. A prime example is the Unreal Development Kit (UDK). The UDK allows aspiring developers to create their own games (PC, iOS) using all the tools and power of the Unreal Engine 3. This is the exact same toolset used to create Gears of War 3 and Infinity Blade. The UDK is completely free and they even provide video tutorials. EPIC will only charge a licensing fee if you sell your game for revenue exceeding $50,000 (this cap was just raised a few months ago from $5,000). If you have an idea for a game, you now have no excuse to put some time aside and get to work to make your idea a reality.
