Gearbox announced this morning that Borderlands 2 has, in fact, been in development and will release next year.
It will have new characters, weapons, skills, environments, enemies and equipment. It's also supposed to have a better mission system for telling a better story.
There will be a demo presented at Gamescon 2011, 17-21 Aug, and PAX Prime, 26-28 Aug.
