Microsoft is officially phasing out the glossy Xbox 360 and replacing it with the same matte finish as the 4GB version. Smart move. I always thought the glossy plastic looked cheap and almost bought the 4GB version with the 250GB HDD upgrade just for the matte finish. If for some reason you like the glossy finish you'd better pick one up quick because it will only be around for another couple of weeks.
