Samsung is set to announce something big on 11 Oct at the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event.
Looks like this is the Nexus Prime - 3rd generation Google phone - and will be the first device to run on Google's new OS, Ice Cream Sandwich. Ice Cream Sandwich is Google's solution to create a multi-platform OS (phone, tablet) and get rid of it's current fragmentation issues.
The design is definitely unique but so was the Nexus S and it's received a lot of compliments (minus it not having expandable storage but let's hope they fix that this time). Hardware is rumored to be high spec'd and it's supposed to be available on Verizon, Sprint and At&t (probably T-Mobile too but who gives a shit). I've been holding out on upgrading, waiting for this announcement. F'ing excited.
