SpaceX is working with WorldVu to launch 700 low-altitude satellites (about 20 times the current amount of GPS satellites) to provide cheap, fast internet to the entire world. They've engineered the satellites to be small (~250 lbs) and cheap ($1 mil each). And since there are still about 4 billion people in the world without any internet access, they could easily make back their costs on an exponential level.
