Windows 10 will be a free upgrade from Windows 7, 8.1 and 8.1 Phone for a year following it's official release.
The same OS on multiple platforms (desktops, tablets, and phones)
Universal app will work across all platforms
Internet Explorer being replaced with Project Spartan
DirectX 12 will allow cross-platform play between Windows 10 and Xbox One
Fable Legends will be the first cross-platform game
Phil Spencer was quoted, "We think enabling people to play multiplayer games on Windows 10, across Xbox One and Windows 10, will unlock the potential of Xbox Live and grow social network that's there today." Duh. Wonder why it took them 10 years to finally listen.
