Halo 5: Forge Available For Free Now In The Windows Store

This is a pretty interesting move by MS. It's supports 4K/60fps, mouse/keyboard and online multiplayer via friends in the Xbox Live app. Basically, build or download a player-made map and play Halo multiplayer with your friends. In addition, MS has released 15 pre-made maps from Halo 5's "Arena" mode.

A few downsides: no character customization, no ranking system, no FOV slider, fps locked to 30/60, requires Windows 10 and Windows 10 Anniversary Update. But aside from this, this is actually a pretty big deal. It's going to be really great once the community starts creating some sweet ass maps.

It still feels a little too good to be true, but this is coming off as a way for MS to give a little something to the PC community, under the radar, without pissing off the console crowd.
